On the "views from the look-out" you can see a white trig pillar ( Ordnance Survey Triangulation Point) as well as having it's co-ordinates noted on the National Grid one can obtain it's elevation based on mean sea level at Newlyn. The noted height above sea level once noted can be used by using the brass plate shown here and using a special bracket to to place a surveyor's staff on for levelling.
