Hooded Merganser catches it's lunch.

This Female Hooded Merganser catches it's lunch. This diving bird had just resurfaced with the small animal that it caught. The staff at the centre helped to identify the creature as a 'Water Shrew' I can find only one other reference to this rare creature ever being seen in this area.
