A picture of Warwick

Eastgate and St Peter's Chapel In the twelfth century, Eastgate formed part of the town walls of Warwick. The chapel above is dedicated to St. Peter and was built in the fifteenth century in the reign of King Henry VI replacing an older structure. Rebuilding took place again about 1788 and this is the structure that can be seen today. The weather vane on the top of Eastgate is of a boar’s head, this was the emblem of Richard III who's wife, Anne Neville, was a daughter of the Earl of Warwick.
