Fitzalan chapel was founded on the feast of Corpus Christi in 1380 by Richard 4th Earl of Arundel. In the reign of Henry VIII the college was dissolved; the chapel & other buildings sold to the family & has been private property of the Earls of Arundel & Dukes of Norfolk ever since.
