If any of you good folk make a visit to Bosham (pronounced Bozzum) do not park down on the water's edge road because the tide will cover the road at high tide.

Church of the Holy Trinity in Bosham near Chichester in West Sussex dates back to around the sixth century and has the grave of King Canute's daughter. Bosham is a very picturesque town on the West Sussex coast.

The Bayeux Tapestry shows King Harold entering Bosham Church prior to sailing to Normandy in 1064. Harold is said to have prayed in the Saxon church before making the crossing

Thought to be the Birth and Burial Place of the Anglo-Saxon King Harold, the Last true King of the English. His remains are now claimed to lie in Bury St Edmunds

Another view of Bosham Church Tower [Anglo-Saxon] The remains of King Canutes daughter are buried in the Church. Contrary to popular myth Canute did not try to stop the tide from coming in. He did this to demonstrate to the locals that no man is greater than God.
