Wentbridge Viaduct

Wentbridge was bypassed at a cost of £800,000 in 1961. One of the largest viaducts in Europe (at that time) was constructed to carry the A1 over the Went valley. The viaduct is 92m and 90m high and was designed by F A Sims. It became a Grade II Listed Building in 1998.
