Stour Valley Autumn

At the beginning of the Autumn Equinox the sun rises directly over the ancient hill fort of Hod Hill. Alternatively in early summer it emerges from behind Hambledon Hill, another ancient hill fort slightly to the north east, up the Stour Valley. In any event looking at this sunrise, it is little wonder that the Ancient Britons were sun worshippers. 24th October 2011.
