I often visited this house from 1954 until Mr. and Mrs. Robinson moved to Sneaton 1n 1963. Afterwards it was mostly vacant , although it was a museum for a while. George and Polly Robinson lived here from 1914.Nice to see it again following refurbishment (Dec.2007)

I am now the proud owner of Midge Hall and feel very privileged to be the custodian of this magical place. My wife and I hope to recreate the Tea Garden and would very much like to see any pictures when it was owned by Mr and Mrs Robinson and to hear from anyone who has memories of visiting the tea rooms.

My great great grandad and grandma lived at midge Hall it was built for them when they married. My great great grandad was a gamekeeper. William and Sarah were married on 29th October 1902 in St Hilda's RC church in Whitby. Hilda my grandma was born at Falling Foss on 20th November 1904, Theresa her sister was born at Falling Foss on 2nd October 1913. I don't have an exact date but I believe they left Falling Foss in the first half of 1914 and moved to Beverley.
