A picture of Manchester

Elizabeth Gaskell's House, 84 Plymouth Grove, Manchester 13. Elibatheth lived here from 1850 after she wrote her first novel "Mary Barton" and all her other novels were wriiten here til her Death in 1865. A close friend of Charlotte Bronte and other vistors to her house were Charles Dickens and Ruskin. The house is being renovated by the Manchester Historic Building Trust and will be opened to the public.
