Old St Boniface Church

This old Church was erected by the monks of Lyra Abbey in Normandy in 1070 on the site of a much older Saxon Church. Algernon Charles Swinburne, the famous victorian poet lived close by with his parents Admiral Sir Charles and Lady Jane Swinburne. He was christened here in 1837.
