Haldon Belvedere (Lawrence Castle)

Situated at Higher Ashton on Haldon Hill overlooking the Exe estuary is Haldon Belvedere (Lawrence Castle). It is a Grade II listed triangular tower. It was erected by Robert Palk in memory of his friend Major-General Stringer Lawrence, and is a prominent local landmark that can be seen from a considerable distance.
