The Church of St Swithun-upon-Kingsgate (Entrance by Staircase on the Right).

This is a very unusual church, in that it is not only part of Winchester's city walls, but is actually built upon the fortified Kingsgate, which protects the eastern entrance to the city. Access is therefore up the stairs on the right in this image.
