The fountain takes the form of a woman with flowing hair dispensing water from a disc held in her hands. At its base, the water – anatural spring – falls into an elliptical stone basin carved with spiral markings. Together with the vertical stone elements representing her hair, these recall the Celtic settlements on the Malvern Hills. The woman's serenity and the demure expression on her face, with its downcast gaze, are reminiscent of the medieval religious statuary that once graced the nearby Benedictine Abbey. Together with the long flowing hair, they also recall Pre-Raphaelite imagery. The sculptors are Rose Garrard and Steve Allard.
