A picture of Brant Broughton

The anglican parish church at Brant Broughton, Lincolnshire, is dedicate to St Helen. A church at Brant Broughton is mentioned in the Doomsday Book but none of that early building remains with the oldest parts of the present church dating from around 13th century. Extensively rebuilt and restored in the 1870's it has been described as "one of the most glorious of all Lincolshire's churches". Perhaps the first thing about this church that catches your eye is its crocketed spire, reaching up 198 feet, and which can be seen for many miles and has been described as "one of the most elegant in Lincolnshire".
