A picture of Swaton

St Michael's, Swaton, Lincolnshire. The Anglican parish church at Swaton, with embattled aisles, is dedicated to St. Michael. Although the village is mentioned in the Domesday Survey but no church is recorded. The earliest parts of the present church appear to date from 13th century but most from the 14th. At some time the tower was heightened. Restoration took place 1851-56
