St. Nicholas, Carlton Scroop, Lincolnshire

The Anglican parish church at Carlton Scroop is of Anglo-Norman origin is dedicated to St. Nicholas and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. On Sunday 14th November 1630 the tower collapsed and fell through the church roof. It was restored by John Palmer in 1633. The roof was also rebuilt then and again in the latter part of the 19th century when it was raised as well changing the appearance of the building.
