Broadwater Church

Another view this time from Broadwater Street East entrance. Yes people wonder on stories of witches laid to rest in these grounds are they true or not? Well it it true that just up the road in village green they had & used a ducking stall at the once deep lake that was once their so leave it to you to work it out. All very interesting & great talking point on a visit to the village

I find this church such a good building to capture on film as you can get great shots from various view points. This view I'm sad to say doesn't capture the wonderful very small, very old shops that are on it's outer wall which is unusual for a church. I believe they are almost as old as church itself. In another picture further away you can see these buildings. I had friends from Holland visit & they found it very hard to believe people not only ran these stores but then lived in them. The stores are in use still but once entering you really get to know where expression 'can't swing a cat' originally came from he says in jest.
