The Church at Hampton Gay Oxfordshire

This lovely old Church is in regular use despite being in a very remote location and in the middle of a field. The Christmas Service is particularly brilliant and very moving. The Church is devoid of electricity and heating. The service is held in candle light and generally, because of the cold, the breath of the singers appears as if on a frosty day. The positioning of candles on the pews means you have to take care not to set fire to the long hair of some of the congregation in the pew in front!
