St Peter and St Paul's Church, Mottistone, IOW

The church is medieval, dating from the 12th century. It is closely linked to the Mottistone Manor. The chancel roof timbers came from a ship wreck, that of Bermudan barque Cedrene, which was just 16 days old when it wrecked on the shores of the Back of the Wight. A 20th century parclose screen was designed by the second Lord Mottistone in memory of his father, General J. E. B. Seely, 1st Baron Mottistone.
