Cape Cornwall Chimney

This beautiful old chimney was part of the Cape Cornwall Tin Mine and dates back to 1864. The mine closed around 1883 but the chimney was left in place as an aid to navigation. The moderately strenuous climb to the seat at the base of the chimney is rewarded with stunning views out to sea and along the rugged cliffs. An ideal place to sit and watch the sun go down. Beware, you might need a torch to pick your way down.

A very pleasing shot, the late afternoon sun adding significantly to it.

Very, very nice and pleasant. Clear colours, sharp focus, well composed. Congratulations Peter.
