Willow Cane from the former home of C. S. Lewis.

This Willow Cane plant is from the former garden of C.S.Lewis' the 'Kilns'. The original roots date back to before the second World War! The plant was growing at the edge of the lake in 'the land of Narnia'. It was used to obliterate the air-raid shelter built by Puddleglum, who is referred to in 'The Silver Chair' written by C. S. Lewis. The Wildlife Trust destroyed and removed the plant from the 'Kilns' as with other non-native species and it's now in my garden!
