Echinocereus Rigidissimus v Rubispinus

Today ( 20/07/2013) after sitting in the display in the shop window for about 7/8 years the plant has burst into bloom. The flower is very striking and I have only ever seen one previous example of this species in bloom .

It took it's time to flower, but well worth it.
