Kennet Mouth and Brunel's Railway Bridge, Reading

This is where the Kennet joins the Thames. The bridge seen here was built by Brunel between 1839 and 1840 to carry the Great Western Railway over the Kennet. It is a testimony to the endurance of Brunel's engineering that after 170 years, the bridge is still in service today.
