Walled Gardens at Greys Court

The gardens at Greys Court are made up of several different sections sheltered by a network of ancient walls which predate the existing house. Lady Brunner, who was the last private owner of Greys Court, was passionate in creating an intimate and varied garden in this unique setting. Lady Brunner died in 2003 and the house and gardens are now administered by the National Trust. The tower at the right of the picture ('The Great Tower') is a Grade I listed building, and was the main tower of a system of fortifications and walls which surrounded the original buildings.
