Cromwellian Stables at Greys Court

The Stable Block lies to the east of the main house, and dates from the 17th century. The building was used to garrison Cromwell's troops during the English Civil War 1642 - 1651. There are rumours that the building is haunted by a ghostly presence from that period. It is now used for housing exhibitions connected with the National Trust.
