The River Cerne in Dorset

The Wessex Ridgeway beside the upper reaches of the Cerne, in the aptly-named hamlet of Up Cerne, before climbing out of the valley and on it's way southwest. This is the area in which the Cerne Valley Way is on it's route up the valley through Godmanstone. Nether Cerne and Cerne Abass cross the Wessex Ridgeway.
