Battle of Britain Flypast

Battle of Britain: Flypast for 75th anniversary of 'Hardest Day' Rather a long way away so the quality of the photo isn't great. I had expected them to fly over the field where Sergeant Hugh John Mortimer Ellis lost his life in 1940 but they didn't.

A wonderful record of these brilliant machines, I was just off the flight paths the routes on this anniversary flight. I can so relate to the problem of photographing planes like this, I was in the area of Dunsfold during the Wings and Wheels and the planes we saw were close but not close enough and the wall to wall cloud made for terrible lighting and it showed in the results. I even managed to catch a shot of the B-17 Flying Fortress but the result is far from worthy. Well don Stephen.
