Kilchurn Castle

In the 15th century Sir Colin Campbell of Glenorchy built a keep on the site of an earlier MacGregor stronghold. John Campbell, the Ist Earl of Breadalbane extended the castle in 1693 and it was used as a government barracks during the 1745 Jacobite Rising.
