About Strathblane

Strathblane nestles beneath the beautiful Campsie Hills amidst some of Scotland's loveliest scenery. From the town there is access to the West Highland Way which passes along the shores of Loch Lomond. A short distance away visitors can take advantage of the famous "Queens View" overlooking the Kilpatrick Hills and the Firth of Clyde.

The town is ideally placed to use as a rural base for visiting bustling Glasgow, city of culture, shops, and graceful architecture, or for calling on the fine city of Stirling, and for exploring the wonderful countryside of Scotland's first National Park dominated by the waters of picturesque Loch Lomond around which there is a wealth of wildlife habitation amongst its streams and woods.

Activities in the area include shopping, walking, golf, photography, boating, fishing and exploring castles.

Tranquillity is the keynote of this pleasant area, and for anyone wishing to tarry, enjoy its beautiful hills beneath vast open skies there is a good choice of friendly hospitable accommodation. This ranges from luxurious hotels, one the Kirkhouse Inn dates from 1601, to pleasant homes offering bed and breakfast.
