Castle View

This is the view from the entrance to the museum at Abergavenny . The museum is in a building in the grounds of Abegavenny Castle. The Castle among other notable events is famous for a massacre in 1175. William de Braose was probably the most hated and most cruel of the Marcher Lords had a number of notable people murdered. In an act of pretending to be brokering a truce he had these folk gather at Abergavenny Castle over christmastime only to slaughter them all and take their lands.
