Forest How Guest House, nestled among the fells of the western Lake District, is a period property right in the heart of Eskdale. Footpaths lead from the house towards Scafell and Great Gable, approximately 15 miles away. Full Cumbrian breakfasts are included and can be served in the conservatory or in the cozy dining room. Packed lunches can be provided should guests wish to spend the whole day exploring the Lake District National Park. Rooms at Forest How each have a view over Eskdale, traditionally decorated with carpeted floors and some with exposed wooden beams. Each room has a TV, tea and coffee making facilities and access to free Wi-Fi. For outdoor enthusiasts the area has many footpaths and bridleways, and guests are just 45 minutes’ drive over the famous Hardknott Pass from popular Windermere. Other attractions such as Eskdale Golf Course and Muncaster Castle and Gardens are within a 15-minute drive.
