About Red Lion Wendover

Bel & The Dragon at The Red Lion is a historic grade II-listed coaching inn with stunning features dating back to 1669 and possibly even earlier in origin; much of the original building still stands. It has been sensitively restored this year, with the aim of providing a premium, contemporary English inn, with sophisticated charm and historic character. The building features a 17th century fireplace and exposed beams, it also has free WiFi and free on-site parking. Less than 50 minutes from London by public transport, Bel & The Dragon at The Red Lion is the ideal location to put your feet up by a roaring fire and enjoy a taste of the countryside life. With 23 individually designed boutique bedrooms, guests can help themselves to the complementary Sipsmith sloe gin and Bramley toiletries to help guests wind down after a long day walking in the Chilterns. In the warmer months, the stunning new garden terrace seats up to 160 guests for al fresco drinks and dining, with covered and heated available should the weather be a touch unpredictable.
