Broadwater Street East
"Ok admit here this is short cut back to where I live but I love to walk this end of Broadwater St East to see the very small old, various styles of cottages, of course just carry straight on & you'll come to the really lovely Ole House Of Home Inn such a lovely old style Inn with great friendly staff & really nice meals. You just don't see these styles of Inn's these days, not enough anyway." - Stephen Luff(10th April 2008)

Broadwater Road West (A24)
"These small parade of shops I know doesn't look much but to people who live in Broadwater we find we hardly ever need to travel into Worthing. Car park to shops is at junction on left of this picture & behind parade, you have also parking in front of shops too. Broadwater has changed over the years but we are lucky to hardly ever have many shops empty" - Stephen Luff(10th April 2008)

Broadwater Green spot the kid
"a handy thing to know is from this view point right other side of green is Littlehampton Road which heads to another lovely village Thomas A'Beckett & leads all the way to Littlehampton going through centre of Durrington & top of Goring." - Stephen Luff(10th April 2008)

Broadwater Green
"This spot is where the finishing point to the Broadwater yearly carival, road is closed & people everywhere. The floats go on to green to be judged & fun fairs & stalls are all around & fire station nearby give rides in old engines. Really good day out for everyone. The A24 leads to Grove Lodge roundabout & heads either towards Brighton (right)or away towards Findon/Arundel (left) or go straight over to Hill Barn Golf course which entrance is second turning off roundabout & has car park & really pleasant walks (footpaths) to Cissbury Ring." - Stephen Luff(10th April 2008)

Broadwater Church
"Funny how you here stories & never know if they are true. I say this cause where I stood to take this picture a teacher once told me (who once owned house behind where shot was taken) that under her house a tunnel went under the road & suddenly stopped at this point near the wall. At school you kind of believe teachers but even today 25 years later I still wonder if she was pulling my leg. " - Stephen Luff(10th April 2008)

Broadwater Church
"It can be kind of strange walking by here sometimes as you see a graveyard expect silence but often here children screaming & playing as behind the tall trees is sports field to The Manor School. It is kind of good to know this otherwise you'd be spooked." - Stephen Luff(10th April 2008)

Broadwater Church
"In this picture you can just see the small little buildings/shops on outer wall of church that I mentioned in another comment on church. Many years ago at this point they had what was a triangle (not roundabout) at this juction to help traffic of horse & cart's. Pictures of this can still be seen in Worthing's history book & in collectable post cards. The village then was more cut off from Worthing, had trees running all along road & the Broadwater pub was in fact further back off road with space to stable your horses. Those were the days, don't know why I said that I'm only 46." - Stephen Luff(10th April 2008)

Broadwater Church
"I find this church such a good building to capture on film as you can get great shots from various view points. This view I'm sad to say doesn't capture the wonderful very small, very old shops that are on it's outer wall which is unusual for a church. I believe they are almost as old as church itself. In another picture further away you can see these buildings. I had friends from Holland visit & they found it very hard to believe people not only ran these stores but then lived in them. The stores are in use still but once entering you really get to know where expression 'can't swing a cat' originally came from he says in jest." - Stephen Luff(10th April 2008)

Manor Sports ground
"Hard to believe looking at this picture of PURE winter in Springtime today I waled this very same spot only 6 days later & sun out, lovely green & they are even getting grass ready for cricket season. Just hard to believe how quick it has changed. This sports ground is so useful for local as kids play ball games even family sit out around ground & when sports are on all free to watch. Remember not only cricket but European hockey played here too. Not far from Broadwater shops & has it's own car park plus street parking near to ground too." - Stephen Luff(10th April 2008)
