"I think you are correct, Dave, in identifying the spikes of purple flowers on the left as Rosebay Willowherb. Watlington Hill is covered with it at the moment. There is also the much smaller Chiltern Gentian to be found there, which only grows on chalk, and I hope to get some pics of that rare wild flower soon." - Edward Lever(6th August 2014)
