"Hi Edward. I was using a Canon 100-400 L series Lens set at 8.0 using aperture priority. AV. I have found using AV @ 8.0 produces a much sharper picture. Hope this helps. Graham" - Graham John Willetts(9th August 2020)

"An excellently sharp shot. I don't know which make of lens was used, but the results are outstanding for such a long focal length." - Edward Lever(9th August 2020)

Reflection
"I agree that people can be a distraction in architectural shots, particularly if they happen to be slap-bang in the middle of the frame as they are here. In the early days of photography, with tripod-mounted plate cameras, people often seemed to be absent from such shots simply because the exposure times were so long. A similar effect can be achieved these days with a tripod-mounted digital camera and an ND filter. Unfortunately, many cathedrals and similar ancient buildings do not allow tripods to be used, though sometimes it is possible to make use of a convenient object to keep the camera steady. Windmill on the Hill
"Nice shot well composed. It is so easy to be tempted to take a vertical shot of a windmill which would not work as well as this." - Paul V. A. Johnson(7th August 2020)
