" Welcome to my world Ruth, we have been in the middle of all this cycle racing since a year before the Olympics. We are in such a position that I could only find one little country road that I could get down which then let us out to the A3 and away. So off we went and was going round Sainsburys at Cobham ( outside the ring ) when phone call and message my mother had fallen again. The person calling me was on the outside and mother is on the inside of the loop and he could not get through and neither could her carers so we had to try from where we were, left the shop and just had to go down a slip road and around junction 10 of the M25 to get down the country lane and back again. What should have been a 10 minute drive took nearly an hour- having all these bikes charging about is a double edged sword and is a debate ( heated ) locally as they plan to do this every year and folk are now getting more than fed up . Sorry for the rant, enjoy it for the once but hope it does not become a habit." - Vince Hawthorn(23rd January 2014)
