Fox Glove Flowers in my garden at Caversham
"Thank you Chris & Sarah. Foxgloves only flourish with the right amount of light (partial shade) and a humus rich soil. If the conditions are right, they will self-seed and continue from year to year perpetually. Our garden is shaded by a mature oak tree and this seems to be the sort of light foxgloves like." - Edward Lever(10th June 2020)

Photo of Exeter Cathedral by: Mobscooter

Exeter Cathedral main entrance
"The West Front is often the most impressive view of an English Cathedral. Exeter is good, but Wells is the ultimate example. A nice shot. The three crosses at the left add balance, though they seem slightly menacing. " - Edward Lever(9th June 2020)

Photo of Port Sunlight by: Stephen Nunney

Port Sunlight
"Port Sunlight was built around the end of the 19th century for the workers of the Lever Brothers Soap Factory (manufacturers of Sunlight Soap). The pretty cottages seen here were built in the 'Arts and Crafts' style in the belief that the workers deserved pleasant and artistically designed housing. William Lever was a philanthropist and Port Sunlight was conceived as a model village to include schools, a church, recreational facilities, a theatre and a swimming pool. The company continued as Lever Brothers until 1930, when it combined with the Dutch company Margarine Unie to become the multinational brand Unilever." - Edward Lever(9th June 2020)
