Knaresborough, The Petrifying Well
"These are fascinating pics Luc. I had to find out what this was all about. Googling for information, the alternative name seems to be the dripping well. Apparently those little teddy bears will be turned to stone in only 3 - 5 months due to the water flowing over them having a high mineral content. All sorts of petrified objects can be viewed in the Museum there. I would like to see this place. Thanks for stirring my curiosity." - cathyml(28th May 2011)

"I'd never heard of this place so I googled it! It's called Mother Shipton's Cave, where she was apparently born in the 1600's and was something of a fortune teller. Very interesting!" - cathyml(28th May 2011)
