Picture of the Cheddarman skeleton, Britain's oldest complete human skeleton dating from around 7150 BCE. It's Richard Cox Gough's great-grandson behind him taking a picture. Richard Cox Gough (1827 - 1902) was the discoverer of 'Gough's Cave' which is Cheddar's most impressive cave and in which the remains were found.
