Ashton Park, Darwen, Lancashire. One of the more obscure parks in Darwen, but equally as beautiful on a sunny day. The lake that is seen here was once the lodge,(situated close to the River Darwen), that powered the steam engines that turned out the paper at a nearby building which is now octaveward. Hence the nickname for the park DPM,(Darwen Paper Mill),.

India Mill Chimney, Darwen, Lanacashire, one of maybe the biggest chimneys still standing from Britains industrial past. India mill Chimney is a registered building and dates from the mid 1860's.
