Blake Mere near Upper Hulme, Staffordshire Moorlands

Also known as Mermaid Pool, although there is another pool called this elsewhere in the Peak District. This is a permanent pool - it doesn't dry out in the summer - at around 470 metres on top of a hill.

Frozen Track above Upper Hulme, Staffordshire Moorlands

This is an old army track to the old Upper Hulme Range Complex. Supposedly no longer a range for some years - but I've seen the army up there several times this year, mostly practising camouflage and field communications. BUT .... I DID see the red flag flying one time.
