Autumn in Linear Park, Rainford

Nature's own firework display, and with free admission. Linear Park is so named as it runs in (roughly) a straight and narrow line, and is on the site of the old Ormskirk to St Helens line (I think).

The signalman doesn't have the busiest job in the world. Two trains an hour (the same one going in both directions) and it all stops at 7pm. And yes, those really are semaphore signals.
