Empowerment 'Empowerment' is a public sculpture in the centre of the city of Lincoln in England. Designed by the artist Stephen Broadbent, sponsored by Alstom Power (now Siemens) and completed in 2002. The sculpture spans the River Witham in Lincoln's City Square. It takes the form of two aluminium-and-steel human figures reaching to each other across the water. The design is intended to echo the shape of turbine blades, in recognition of Lincoln's industrial heritage. At 16 metres tall, Empowerment is the largest sculpture in Lincolnshire This picture appears in the following picture tours: 1 person has added this picture to their favourites |

Flying Rover, Lincoln Taken at the 2007 Lincolnshire County Show. The car was suspended in mid air by four cranes - great advertising for both the car and the cranes, and a great photo opportunity too. About 15 minutes after the picture was taken, the heavens opened with a tremendous thunder storm, and that was the end of summer..? Candy Store - Lincoln's Christmas Market This was taken at the Lincoln 2005 Christmas Market. So many photo opportunities, and the reason I like this one so much is the balance of lighting and the rich colours along with the hustle and bustle of the busy market.
