This is a Castle that was built in 24 hours as a bet by one of the Delavel family. In actual fact it was a one room building but the bet was won

St Marys Island from Old Hartley, Seaton Sluice, Northumberland, 27th October 2006.

This picture was taken around 6am on a stormy morning. I saw the sunrising over the sea from my bedroom window and had to photograph it. St Marys Island is a place which I have always found magical from being a child
