The Memorial Tower at Crich, Derbyshire is built on the site of an earlier folly and actually houses a working light which can be seen for many miles around due to its very prominent location.

The memorial known locally as 'Crich Stand', Derbyshire was built after WW1 and is now dedicated to those members of the Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby)Regiment and its successor the Worcestershire & Sherwood Foresters Regiment killed during WW1 and since.
