Plush, in Dorset The only road through the village is a quiet narrow lane. Half a mile further on around the bend, the Wessex Ridgeway crosses the lane on it's way to the Cerne Valley. The Wessex Ridgeway is a long-distance bridleway, which takes a diagonal route from the top of Dorset down to Lyme Regis on the coast. Plush, in Dorset Plush is one of Dorset's smallest villages, hidden away between Mappowder and Dorchester, about 5 miles north of Piddletrenthide. However, it's pub, The Brace Of Pheasants pictured here, has a big reputation for good food. The village still has it's original GPO phone box like many of Dorsets' villages.
