A picture of Scampton A few miles north of Lincoln on the top of the Lincoln Ridge is Scampton RAF base & below it and on the spring line is Scampton Village where there is a pub bearing the name 'Dambusters Inn' after the name given to 617 Squadron, RAF, in WWII. A picture of Scampton The Anglican Parish Church in Scampton, Lincolnshire, is an unsophisticated building dedicated to St. John the Baptist. Portions of it date from Norman times. The church was re-modelled in 1794 and was restored in 1876-7. There is some modern and unsympathetic patching up on the south face of the tower. This picture appears in the following picture tours: |
