The Shire Hall, Market Hill, Woodbridge Thomas Seckford, who was Master of the Court of Requests to Queen Elizabeth 1, was responsible for building the Shire Hall in 1575 to house the Quarter Sessions. The upper part of the Hall was used for judicial purposes but he retained other rights in the Hall as part of the Priory Manor. The Bell and Steelyard, Woodbridge Ye Olde Bell and Steelyard public house is thought to be the 12 oldest in the country. The Steelyard was thought to be used to weigh carts laden with corn. Cumberland Street The tiny Barton's Cottage (pink) and Tudor period The Manor House in Cumberland Street, Woodbridge.
