Stanley shopping area 2010 The Clock Pub, on the left, really called The Imperial Hotel, was not burned down in 2010, but the old Co Op building opposite was! A massive redevelopment was needed but I 'emigrated' to Devon in 2010 and haven't taken any more pictures in the area. Stanley skyline 2004 The skyline of Stanley has some unique markers. The church has a spire on the tower, The tower on the right with what seems a cross on top is the water tower of the old Co-Op buildings. They burned down in 2009. The white buildings in the foreground are formed by an industrial estate in Tanfield Lea. Nowadays it's a case of "I remember that!". Causey Arch This is the World's first railway bridge. It was designed and built by Ralph Wood for a consortium of Durham collieries to carry coal in horse drawn trucks to the River Tyne.
