An angry looking sky hangs over the hills of Newton Poppleford. We had been visiting a market garden on top of a hill on the road out of Newton at a place called "Four Firs". It started to rain and thunder just shortly after I took this picture and we didn't stay for long.

Newton Poppleford – Cormorant

This cormorant was quietly perched at the top of a leafless tree and suddenly jumped up and flew off. It looked, strangely, very graceful.
